A NEW LOOK FOR A NEW SEASON.
Well, I've updated the look to match our gray snowy (or rainy) days here in Michigan. The weather is a bit, for lack of a better word, yucky, yet the snow and cold has brought some very fun times for the girls. Paper snowflakes from http://www.papersnowflakes.com/ are on the windows. A little jar of water is outside and the girls check on it to see if the cold weather has turned it to ice. There have been snowangels and snow swinging and even raking a snow maze in our back yard. All fun things that a summer day could not bring.
We did make an escape from the cold one day to the Matthei Botanical Gardens conservatory to see the variety of plants we had learned about in science. Oh did the tropical plants area feel fantastic! I'll make a post soon full of some photos from the trip. Next weekend we are headed to Toledo to study some mammals (from our next science book). I have a strong feeling that we won't be so warm on this field trip however! : )
Anyhow, I hope that in this new year you will find love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness and self control. I know I'm working on it.
